3 Local Philly Treats to Bring this Thanksgiving

If you aren’t hosting Thanksgiving this year, the most stressful question you’ll have to face is what to bring your host. I’ve included a few Philly local suggestions that just might fit the bill.

Pastries from the Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College: Tucked away behind the Restaurant School in University City is a small but rewarding bakery. Everything is created fresh by Pastry Arts majors at the college – and everything tastes like it.

Find it here: 4207 Walnut Street

Ice Cream from The Franklin Fountain: You’ve probably had a taste of The Franklin Fountain’s delicious, old-school ice cream and shakes by now (and if not you should fix that immediately). But did you know you can order their ice cream flavors in cartons to go? We highly recommend adding a scoop of your favorite flavor to your after-dinner coffee.

Find it here: 116 Market Street

A Pie from Stargazy: Skip the traditional pumpkin pie and go for something a little more unusual. Stop by Stargazy on Passyunk Avenue for British meat pies, breads, puddings, and more. Something savory, something sweet, everything delicious will leave everyone feeling a little more thankful.

Find it here: 1838 E Passyunk Ave
